Η ΙΣΤΟΡΙΑ ΤΟΥ ΣΤΑΘΜΟΥ

Η Αιγαίο Ραδιοτηλεόραση ιδρύθηκε στις 11 Ιουνίου 1988, λειτουργεί ραδιοφωνικό σταθμό με την επωνυμία Αιγαίο live 95,8 και στεγάζεται στο κτίριο του Πνευματικού Κέντρου Άνω Σύρου στην Πιάτσα.

Είναι ο παλαιότερος αδειοδοτημένος ραδιοφωνικός σταθμός της Σύρου και ο τέταρτος δημοτικός ραδιοσταθμός που ιδρύθηκε στην Ελλάδα. Εκπέμπει στη συχνότητα των 95.8 MHz με κέντρο εκπομπής τον Πύργο της Σύρου και περιοχή κάλυψης τα γύρω Κυκλαδονήσια.
Η Δημοτική Επιχείρηση Ραδιοτηλεόρασης της Σύρου, συστάθηκε από τον Δήμο Άνω Σύρου στις αρχές του 1989 με πράξη του Υπουργού Εσωτερικών και την επωνυμία «Δημοτική Επιχείρηση Προβολής και Ενημέρωσης Δήμου Άνω Σύρου». Το 2011, με τη σύσταση του ενιαίου Δήμου, η επωνυμία της αλλάζει σε «Ραδιοτηλεοπτική Επιχείρηση Δήμου Σύρου – Ερμούπολης» και συνεχίζει τη λειτουργία της με τη μορφή Δημοτικής Επιχείρησης Ειδικού Σκοπού Ραδιοφωνίας και Τηλεόρασης. Διοικείται από επταμελές ΔΣ του οποίου τα τακτικά και αναπληρωματικά μέλη, καθώς και ο Πρόεδρος και ο Αντιπρόεδρος του, ορίζονται από το Δημοτικό Συμβούλιο Σύρου – Ερμούπολης.
